Pint-sized Prints preserves hands and feet for lifetime memories

If you’ve ever tried to make a clay print of your child’s or dog’s hand or foot, you know how frustrating and unpredictable the process can be. However, you can actually get it done professionally through Pint-sized Prints.

Pint-sized Prints is a professional ceramic handprint business in Dallas that has been preserving hands and feet for locals since 2012.

The business is the first ceramic handprint business in Dallas and is the brainchild of JulieAnn Bever, Owner and Artist and her mother, Cathy Coker, Owner and Artist.

Pint-sized Prints began in 2012 out of a desire to preserve JulieAnn’s three children’s growing handprints.

Since then, she and her mother have preserved thousands of handprints in the DFW area. Through referrals, the business took off immediately, JulieAnn said.

The process takes about a month or so.

“The first step is to take the impression in wet clay. We always use wet clay because it picks up the finest details. Then, we will take it from there! We clean the piece, engrave it, fire it, and glaze it. After about a month, the print is fully preserved,” JulieAnn said.

Your finished piece is considered stoneware and much like the dishes in your cabinet, it will not age or deteriorate, she said.

You can book in-home appointments, hospital visits and studio appointments. If you are a small business owner, they also offer pop-ups where they will come to your boutique and host an event.

You can also get a paw print of your animal!

The schedule books up quickly. The fall schedule releases on September 3rd. Gift certificates are available too.
