The <a href="https://krocnews.com/tags/minnesota-state-patrol">State Patrol</a> responded to the <a href="https://krocnews.com/tags/accidents">fatal crash</a> shortly after 3:30 a.m. </p><p>The car and truck collided on Hwy. 13 near the intersection with <a href="https://krocnews.com/tags/freeborn-county">Freeborn County</a> Rd. 35, which is about 15 miles north of <a href="https://krocnews.com/tags/albert-lea">Albert Lea</a>. </p><figure><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=1a4Utn_0vkjIX2i00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=1a4Utn_0vkjIX2i00" width="692" height="500" ><figcaption>Google</figcaption></figure><p>The truck was traveling south on Hwy. 13 and the car was northbound on the two-lane highway when they collided, the <a href="https://app.dps.mn.gov/MSPMedia2/IncidentDisplay/52022">state crash report</a> says. </p><h2>26-Year-Old Driver Killed in Crash With Construction Truck in Freeborn County</h2><p>Authorities say the driver who lost his life was a 26-year-old man from Hartland, MN. His name and more information surrounding his death have not been released. </p><p>80-year-old Dwight Craig Kleinschrodt was identified as the truck driver.
