Allegheny County Police are asking for the public’s help after a shooting on Friday evening.

Around 6:20 p.m. on August 2, first responders found good Samaritans giving CPR to the victim of a single-vehicle accident near Ben Avon Heights and Gass roads.

EMS transported the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Medical staff found the victim, identified as 18-year-old Nathan Geiger, has suffered a gunshot wound to the torso.

County Police are now asking for help. “Detectives are requesting anyone who was in the Giant Eagle or Home Depot parking lots in the Ben Avon Heights neighborhood of Ohio Twp. between 6:00pm and 6:15pm on August 2, 2024 and has either cellphone or dash camera video please share it with Detectives.”

They add they are looking to ID people inside a white Chevy Traverse and Blue/Gray Honda Accord with New York plats.

Anyone with any information is asked to call 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
