Aliquippa High School is breaking ground Friday on the school's campus.

Last year, Kraft Heinz donated $1.3 million to the school district.

The first part of it went to renovating stadium now known as Heinz Field.

On the Big K Morning Show, KDKA Radio's Dan Zangrilli told Larry abut the second phase.

“It’s for an athletic/academic center,” said Zangrilli. “It’s going to be built right off the stadium. So, there’s going to be a big buzz at The Pit, Heinz Field.”

The new facility will have an indoor training facility, locker room, weight room and more. It is hoped construction will be complete by the end of 2025.

The Quips will play Belle Vernon LIVE on KDKA Radio for our Game of the Week powered by Bowser!

LIVE coverage begins at 6 p.m.

Aliquippa has a right to be proud. They have come such a long way, always have been the underdog but win in spite of that, and has to fight to stay in their proper class. congratulations! And I am so glad you have the ketchup bottle!
