During a news conference Wednesday afternoon, the Allegheny County District Attorney announced the closing of a bar at the center of an officer involved incident.

District Attorney Stephen Zappala says the closing of Oddballs on is a non-negotiable issue and that a voluntary compliance was made.

“The alternative is, if we’re forced to go to court and we take your license, and we’ve basically taken your livelihood because there’s no guarantee you’re going to get your license back,” said Zappala. “I prefer not to do that and that’s kind of the nature of some of the discussions that we have and I’m very proud of the guys for sitting down and working this out.”

Zappala says the license can be transferred to “wherever they want to go.”

According to the DA, there have been 11 reports filed regarding Oddballs since May.

    More on injured officer

Zappala says the Nuisance Bar Task Force is also addressing the following bars in the county, Club Taboo, and Mario's with the Panther Pitt also set to close.
