Spirit Halloween may be known online for the multiple memes including costume ideas or Photoshopping a store logo on a building to indicate its been abandoned by the primary occupant, but the company is a force to be reckoned with.

Spirit Halloween pulls in over $1 billion in revenue yearly with over 1,500 locations in the United States, with several in the Pittsburgh area open every Halloween season.

After Halloween is over, 10 Spirit locations in the Northeast will transform into Spirit Christmas, as the company tests out a new concept.

“We’re hopeful it will resonate with our customers,” said Nikki Balles, Senior Director of PR for Spirit Halloween. “Our goal is to create a festive retail experience that captures the spirit of the season, much like we do for Halloween.”

Spirit Christmas will offer “a vast assortment of holiday décor, apparel, inflatables, gifts, and stocking stuffers.”

The 10 test stores (the closest one to Pittsburgh is in Erie) will also allow you to meet with Santa for a photo and you’ll get a free digital card of your photo with the jolly old elf.

Also, you’ll be able to “Wander through the life-sized gingerbread village, where you can mail your letter to Santa at the North Pole and find out whether you’ve been naughty or nice.”
