A water main break caused a landslide in Polish Hill early Friday morning.

Pittsburgh Police responded right before 3 a.m. to Brereton and Haran Streets for reports of a landslide.

Officers found a large water spray coming from water main and that part of the road and surrounding area had slide down the hillside.

That debris covered a part of the Martin Luther Kind Jr. East Busway below.

No one was injured during the incident and the Pittsburgh Water and Sewage Authority arrived on the scene to shut the water off.

Pittsburgh Public Works crews put barricades around the damaged area.

Pittsburgh Public Safety says that “access to the 28 th Street Bridge is not obstructed and remains available.”

Pittsburgh Regional Transit say that the impacted part of the East Busway is closed at Herron Station. That impacts inbound Liberty at 33rd and outbound Liberty at Herron Avenue.

"Pittsburgh Regional Transit crews are working diligently to clear the busway. There is currently no estimate for when the busway will reopen," PRT spokesperson Adam Brandolph said in a release.
