    Man accused of assaulting referee after JV football game in Meadville arrested

    A Western Pennsylvania man has been arrested for assaulting a referee following a junior varsity football game.

    Meadville Police says 34-year-old Brandon Teed faces assault and harassment charges following an incident at Bender Field on the 500 block of North Street.

    In a release, Meadville Police say the referee was assaulted following a Meadville Junior Varsity Football Game on Thursday afternoon.

    The ref was reportedly “tackled to the pavement” by Teed and suffered “minor injuries.”
