Gun Fired Inside Middle School Classroom in Bossier Parish
No students or staff members were injured today, but a gun was fired inside a Bossier Parish classroom according to Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington. This incident happened today, Thursday May 9th, at Cope Middle School on Shed Road in Bossier City. According to Sheriff Whittington, a student accidentally discharged the firearm as they were trying to put it into their backpack. The student had apparently taken it out to show another student. The School Resource Officer was immediately alerted, and took the student into custody.
