Monday Morning Weather - Breezy winds will start to ease, light trade showers, sunshine
HONOLULU (Island News) -- High pressure north of the Hawaiian Islands will continue, maintaining a dry trade wind pattern through much of the week. Light windward and mauka showers will primarily occur during overnight through early morning hours each day. A mid to upper level disturbance developing northeast of the state this week will weaken trades from Tuesday onward.
One dead, two injured in car crash on Kaukonohua Road
WAIALUA, Hawaii (Island News) - Kaukonohua Road is closed from Kaamooloa Road to Kiekonea Way due to a two-car crash that has left one person dead. Honolulu Fire Department was called to the scene shortly before five Sunday afternoon. They found two people trapped in their cars and one person was dead on arrival.

New zero-interest loan program for UH engineering students
A new, zero interest, no fee loan program will be available to low income students enrolled in the College of Engineering (COE) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa beginning in fall 2024.
