Clarkston man Arrested After Firing Rifle Inside Home on 9th Street
CLARKSTON - A Clarkston man was arrested and booked into the Asotin County Jail after allegedly firing a rifle inside of a home on Sunday. According to court documents, Clarkston Police were dispatched to what was initially reported as a gunshot victim call. Someone had called dispatch yelling they were shot. Police responded to a home at 908 9th Street.

Evacuation Orders Issued as Cougar Creek Fire Grows to 520 Acres in Asotin County
ASOTIN COUNTY - A fire burning in southern Asotin County, in the area of Cougar Creek Road, on the north side of the Grande Ronde River, has now reached 520 acres in size. The Cougar Creek Fire, reported around 7:00 p.m. on Monday, was initially attacked by air resources, which operated throughout Monday evening while daylight permitted. Additional air and ground resources have been requested to assist in containing the fire.

CLARKSTON - Firefighters from Asotin County Fire District #1 were called just after 3 a.m. Tuesday morning to a fire on Silcott Grade Road, about 5 miles west of Clarkston.
