SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The top seeds in South Dakota girls high school basketball are moving on to the state semifinals.

    Class ‘AA’

The undefeated O’Gorman girls needed some late free throws to overcome a fourth quarter deficit. Rapid City Stevens trailed by double digits in the fourth, before charging back to take a lead.

Overtime was needed and that’s where O’Gorman claimed the 64-58 win over Rapid City Stevens.

Mahli Abdouch scored a game high 19 points. Lucy Moore added 18.

    Class ‘A’

Sisseton turned a two point halftime lead into a double digit lead as the Redmen outscored Mt. Vernon/Plankinton 34-26 on their way to a 57-47 win.

Krista Langager was one of three in double figures for the Redmen. She posted a game high 24. Chloe Langager posted 12, while Ruby Rice scored 11.

    Class ‘B’

Arlington is moving on to the class ‘B’ state semifinals, following a 51-41 win over James Valley Christian.

The Cardinals jumped out to a 27-21 halftime lead. They’d push that to double digits after a great third quarter.

Arlington was led by Harley Johnson. She posted 18 points. Jaelyn Huntimer added 15 in the win.
