ABERDEEN, S.D. (KELO) — The De Smet boys basketball team is one win away from a fourth-straight state championship.

The second-seeded Bulldogs claimed a 40-37 semifinal win over Castlewood. Trailing 24-17 in the third quarter, they closed the quarter with the final 11 points to take the lead.

Tom Aughenbaugh led the way with 12 points. George Jensen followed with 11, and Kadyn Fast had 10.

De Smet will meet Howard in the championship game as the Tigers upset No. 1 White River 48-42. After the top seed scored the first eight points of the game, Howard took its first led midway through the second and led by four at halftime.

Four Howard players win double figures with Carson Hinker leading the way with 11 points.
