Huron, Tea Area split baseball doubleheader

TEA, S.D. (KELO) — Tea Area and Huron each secured wins in baseball Friday.

The Tigers won the first game of the doubleheader 8-6. They scored five runs in the top of the first inning and made it 6-0 in the second. The Titans roared back with five in the fourth. Huron tacked on an insurance run in each of the fifth and sixth.

The Titans won the second game 6-5 on Sam Werdels’s walkoff RBI single with the bases loaded in eighth innings. They tied the game in the bottom of the seventh to force extras.
