    Tea Area rolls past Sturgis, takes lead in playoff series

    TEA, S.D. (KELO) — The Tea Area baseball team opened postseason play with a dominant 15-0 win over Sturgis on Wednesday.

    The Titans and Scoopers began a three game series, with the winner advancing to state. Tea Area’s victory has them now one win away from the state tournament.

    The first inning was scoreless on Wednesday. Then the Titans offense came to life.

    Tea Area posted seven runs in the second inning, six more in the third and three more in the fourth to end the game via the 15-run mercy rule.

    First pitch in the second game of the series is set for Thursday at 2 p.m. You can livestream that game on KELOLAND.com.
