SD High School Softball Coaches Poll – May 16

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Coaches from around the state have weighed in to give us our final KELOLAND Sports High School Softball Coaches Poll.

Each coach was asked to give us their top five teams in ranked order and here are the results of the poll:

CLASS ‘AA’

Receiving Votes: Brandon Valley Lynx – 1

Lincoln remained a unanimous selection as the top-ranked team. The Patriots went 4-0 last week, winning every game by at least 11 runs. Harrisburg maintained the No. 2 spot after an undefeated week too.

CLASS ‘A’

Receiving Votes: none

West Central held on to the top spot again after three double-digit shutout victories. The Trojans knocked off Tri-Valley 12-0, Sioux Falls Christian 12-0 and Vermillion 11-0. Dell Rapids, Tea Area and Madison followed with undefeated weeks as well.

CLASS ‘B’

Receiving Votes: Chester Flyers – 2

Castlewood kept the top spot. Bon Homme followed after a 3-0 week with wins over Wagner, Avon and Hanson. Hanson, Alcester-Hudson and Chester rounded out the top five.
