Early offense leads Lincoln past Roosevelt in quarters

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Lincoln Patriots are the third team to advance to the class ‘A’ state semifinals, as they tallied an 8-0 win over Roosevelt.

The Patriots outhit the Rough Riders 10-2 in the win.

Sawyer Mindt led the way with three hits and three runs batted in.

Caden Watson threw 6.2 innings, while allowing zero runs and striking out nine.

Lincoln will meet either Brandon Valley or Tea Area in the semifinals. They’ll play at 2:35 p.m. on Saturday.
