The Sioux Falls Flying Squirrels and Renner went unbeaten in their first two games of the state tournament, which began on August 9, 10 and 11 in Brookings.

The winner of game 28 between the Squirrels and Renner will send a team to the state championship on Sunday. The loser will move to the final elimination game, which is game 33 on Saturday.

It’s a tough road to the title game for Yankton, Aberdeen, Brookings and the Sioux Falls Brewers. Those teams will need a win Friday and two wins on Saturday, just to reach the title game.

The state championship game is set for Sunday, August 18 at 12 p.m.
