Canaries punch ticket to postseason

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Sioux Falls Canaries are in the midst of one of their best seasons and have already notched one major accomplishment. The Birds secured a playoff berth with their win at Fargo-Moorhead on Friday night.

It marks the second straight season Sioux Falls it heading to the postseason – a first for the franchise. The Birds enter Saturday with a 51-39 record – first in the American Association west division.

They return home for a seven-game homestand to close out the season, beginning on Tuesday, and running through Labor Day.
