O’Gorman, Dell Rapids claim wins in season openers

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The high school volleyball season began in South Dakota on Tuesday as several teams, including O’Gorman and Dell Rapids opened the year with a win.

O’Gorman was dominant on Tuesday. They grabbed an early lead in each set and never looked back claiming a 3-0 sweep of Yankton.

Dell Rapids had a tight first set. The Quarriers grabbed an early lead, but Elkton-Lake Benton would close the gap to three. Dells finished strong to win the set 25-17.

The Quarriers outscored the Elks 50-23 in the next two sets to claim the 3-0 sweep.
