SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The top-ranked Harrisburg football team held #4 O’Gorman scoreless Saturday to claim a 14-0 win in the 46th Dakota Bowl.

The two teams exchanged the ball early, via a few punts and a fumble.

Harrisburg was the first to break through in the second quarter, when Sam Knuth connected with Braeden Feeldy for the 24 yard touchdown.

O’Gorman came out swinging in the second half. A big kick return and a few plays got the Knights near the red zone.

Feeldy put a stop to the drive with an interception for the Tigers.

Harrisburg then drove down the field and got a 14 yard touchdown run from Josiah Heinz, making the lead 14 points.

O’Gorman moved the ball again in the fourth quarter. They’d cross midfield and then get a personal foul and unsportsmanlike conduct penalty to push them to first and goal.

However, four plays later, the Knights would be stopped on fourth and goal at the one as Harrisburg turned them away again.

Three plays later, Harrisburg had yet to gain a yard. In the shadows of their own end zone, Sam Knuth found Jonah Knuth for a 62 yard pass connection. That took them out of harm’s way and took any and all momentum from O’Gorman.

Harrisburg starts the season with a 1-0 record. They’ll host Washington in the Tiger Bowl on September 7.

O’Gorman will look to bounce back from the loss when they host #2 Lincoln next Friday.
