USD football set for battle with Wisconsin

VERMILLION, S.D. (KELO) — USD opened their season with an impressive 45-3 win over Northern State, but now the schedule gets much tougher.

The Coyotes were the higher division team against the Division II Wolves, but this week’s game, that will change as USD plays at FBS opponent, Wisconsin.

The Badgers are fresh off a 28-14 season opening win over Western Michigan.

“We understand that we’re going to have to do a lot of things well to have a chance to win. That’s just the essence of these games. There were some things we did well Thursday and some things we didn’t do well,” USD head coach Bob Nielson said.

USD and Wisconsin will meet on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. The game can be seen on FS1.
