BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO) — The SDSU football team suffered their first loss in two seasons, following a 24 point setback to #17 Oklahoma State.

The Jackrabbits and Cowboys were nearly identical in total yards, but the scoreboard didn’t show that.

The Jacks made some mistakes in execution and that is a point of emphasis for the team. SDSU had chances in the second and third quarter to close the gap, but they were unable to take advantage.

Now, they’re looking to learn from the mistakes they made in Oklahoma, while also knowing that they had chances against a talented team.

“We battled for a while, we just kind of lost our composure inside of that. There was just a lot of moments and situations inside of that game that we can learn from. We’re excited for this week and we’re excited for a full stadium,” SDSU head coach Jimmy Rogers said.

The Jackrabbits return to action Saturday when they meet Incarnate Word in front of a sold out crowd.
