    Vikings beat Giants

    SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Minnesota Vikings beat the New York Giants 28-6 in their regular-season opener at MetLife Stadium.

    The Vikings had a total of 201 passing yards and 111 rushing yards for a total of 312 yards.

    Sam Darnold threw for two touchdowns and 208 yards. Aaron Jones rushed for a score, and Rock Valley, Iowa, native Andrew Van Ginkel returned an interception for a touchdown.

    Next week, the Vikings play against the San Francisco 49ers at U.S. Bank Stadium.
