    Wolves run away with win against Bulldogs

    Aberdeen, S.D. (Northern State) -– An aggressive offense led the Northern State women’s soccer team to shutout Minnesota Duluth, 2-0 Sunday afternoon. Sophie Taylor hit the back of the net early in the day to take the lead with Megan Fastenau sealing the win in the second half.

    HOW IT HAPPENED
    Northern State was the first to score with a goal by Megan Fastenau at the 12-minute mark, Sophie Taylor tallied the assist on the play
    The two teams entered the locker room at half with the Wolves up 1-0
    Taylor kept the pressure on Minnesota Duluth with a goal at the 66-minute mark with an assist by Eva Larson
    NSU tallied ten shots to the UMD 12 in the game
    In the goal box for the Wolves was Elinor Sayers with six saves on the day
