SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — SDSU and USD have combined to win 15 of the last 16 Summit League championships, including each of the last seven.

The Jackrabbits have claimed back-to-back league crowns and have won their last 40 contests against Summit League foes.

One part of State’s success in the conference stems from their ability to schedule power conference teams.

This season, SDSU welcomes three power-four teams to First Bank & Trust Arena in Creighton, Wisconsin and Duke.

“We’re excited for the season to start. We have some tough non-conference games and then once conference season comes around, we kind of look at those games the same way. We come into practice each day looking to get better,” SDSU senior guard Paige Meyer said.

The Jacks open the season at Rice between playing the next three against those power-conference teams in Brookings.
