VERMILLION, S.D. (KELO) — USD returns home to take on Northern Iowa for their annual Dakota Days game.

The Yotes have seen success in the turnover battle, where they’re tied for eighth in the country with a plus-six turnover margin.

The Coyotes own the third best scoring defense heading into this week’s matchup against the Panthers who own a -4 turnover margin, something USD will look to capitalize on.

“We’ve done a pretty good job of taking care of the football. But last week, really, we were able to generate some turnovers and through that, some short field possessions and offensively we capitalize on that. And that’s a goal of ours every week,” USD head coach Bob Nielson said.

Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Vermillion.
