Nexstar, KELOLAND donate $5K to Teammates Mentoring Program

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation and KELOLAND Media Group announced Friday the foundation will donate $5,000 to Teammates Mentoring Program.

The donation will be used to expand their mentoring mission into two more communities in South Dakota.

Teammates connects mentors with students from third through the 12th grade in seven communities in South Dakota. Those communities are: Belle Fourche, Custer-Hermosa School District, Lead-Deadwood, Pierre, Spearfish, Rapid City and Sioux Falls.

“I personally know the tremendous impact that Teammates makes in our communities,” said Mari Ossenfort, KELOLAND Media Group Vice President and General Manager. “Giving back to the communities served by Nexstar in 116 markets across the country is core to the company’s mission and we are so happy to support this great organization.”
