Augustana claims season open win against Long Island

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Augustana hockey claimed a season and home opener 4-0 win against Long Island.

Luke Mobley scored the first goal of the season for the Vikings early in the second period, putting them on the board 1-0. The Vikes would keep the momentum going as they tacked on two more goals in the second and one more in the third.

Augustana goalie Josh Kotai had 29 saves.

The Vikings will close out the series against Long Island, Saturday for a 6:07 P.M. puck drop.
