    More than 1,100 acres burned in Woonsocket fire

    SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Authorities in Woonsocket say the “4 Mile” Fire has been contained.

    The fire started on Thursday around 3:17 p.m. near 234th Street and 400th Ave. The Woonsocket Volunteer Fire Department says the fire was contained around noon on Friday.

    1,120 acres were burned in the fire. No injuries were reported. 7 different fire departments responded to the fire.
