SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — For the past two days, we showed you the numbers from our scientific poll when it comes to the ballot measures facing South Dakota voters.

Friday we looked at the favorable ratings for the President and the governor.

Amendment H and IM 28 poll results and reaction

Plus we look at who will win this year’s presidential race and the U.S. house race in South Dakota.

If the election were held today former President Donald Trump would easily win South Dakota.

According to our poll, Trump gets 62% of the vote compared to Vice President Kamala Harris’ 35%.

“The past two days we’ve gotten some really good news about the economy,” Biden said.

But South Dakotans aren’t buying it.

We asked voters if they approve or disapprove of the job Joe Biden is doing as President?

28% say they approve, while 64% say they disapprove. 9% are either neutral or have no opinion.

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has been criticized by some on a number of issues; for her political travels, sending National Guard troops to the southern border and her controversial book that made national headlines.

“This book is a powerful book, it’s an honest book,” Noem said.

We asked if you approve or disapprove of the job Kristi Noem is doing as Governor?

Despite any criticism 52% approve of her performance while 40% disapprove. 9% are either neutral or have no opinion.

We also looked at the U.S. House race.

According to our poll Republican incumbent Dusty Johnson is going back to Congress. He leads by a wide margin picking up 64% of the vote compared to his democratic challenger Sheryl Johnson’s 28%. 9% are still undecided.

“I think people put too much trust in polls, because it’s such a small sampling, we’ve been all over the state I’m sure they didn’t call all those people, we still have hope, we still think we can get him, but we know it’s a challenging race,” Sheryl Johnson said.

We spoke with Congressman Dusty Johnson over the phone to get his response to our numbers, because he’s traveling today.

“Our whole team works really hard for South Dakota, elections are really job interviews, and it makes us feel good, it looks like South Dakotans appreciate the job we’re doing for them and they are looking to hire us for two more years,” Dusty Johnson said.

Dusty Johnson is seeking his 4th term as Congressman.

Our poll has a plus or minus 3.3 % margin or error.
