    Evacuations expanded for wildfire burning north of Kendrick, Idaho

    LATAH COUNTY, Idaho -- Evacuations have been ordered for a wildfire burning half-an-hour north of Kendrick, Idaho on Monday.

    According to Latah County Sheriff's Office, a wildfire is burning near Cedar Ridge Road and Texas Ridge Road not far from the Potlatch River.

    As of 9:20 p.m. on July 15, Level 3 evacuations (Go Now) have been issued for the area near Cedar Ridge from Highway 3 to Linden Road, Linden Road to South Park Road and Texas Ridge Road and East Road to Sundstrom Road.

    Level 2 Evacuations (Be Set to evacuation) have been issued for Texas Ridge Road and Sundstrom Road to Highway 3, Cedar Ridge Road at Linden Road to Three Bear Road and for all houses west of 1210 Cedar Ridge Road.

    Leve 1 Evacuations (Be Ready for potential evacuation) have been issued for any houses two miles outside of the Level 2 evacuation areas.

    As of 6 p.m., P1 and Texas Ridge Road are closed and as of 8 p.m., Texas Ridge and East Road are closed as well.

    LCSO said the fire is quickly spreading to Nez Perce County.
