According to a new report by Business NC, a major shipping company is laying off 120 workers in Raleigh. According to the report, document, and parcel shipping company, DHL, recently announced it will lay off 120 workers.

The layoffs will begin on August 2. The company stated that it expects some workers to elect to transfer to its location in Concord, however, they believe most of them won't.

The company released a statement saying "We are deeply committed to serving our customers, and that's why we have decided to move our Raleigh facility to Concord, NC. In Concord, we will have a larger distribution center that will allow us to process more volume. This new building will better position us to support our strong customer base in NC".
