On 08/09/24 at 11:54 a.m., a 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling southbound on US Highway 385 near mile marker 88. A 1975 Honda GL1000 was traveling southbound behind the Harley Davidson motorcycle and a group of others. The driver of the Honda failed to see the Harley Davidson slowing down to turn and began passing on the left. The Honda motorcycle struck the Harley Davidson motorcycle as it began to turn left. The Honda overturned and the driver separated from the motorcycle. The driver of the Honda was wearing a helmet and received serious non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Harley Davidson was wearing a helmet, was uninjured and able to drive his motorcycle from the scene.

State B Amateur Baseball Tournament continues all weekend
MITCHELL, SD (MITCHELLNOW) The State B Baseball Tournament sees area teams making their mark as Pony Hills League and Sunshine League team’s advance. The first game on Friday morning at Cadwell Park turned out to be with a great game with the Alexandria Angels winning by the final of 5 to 3. The Alexandria Angels starter Riley McSherry pitched a complete game, striking out seven batters, allowing six hits, two earned runs and six walks on 143 pitches.

PARKER, SD (KELO) — South Dakota’s oldest county fair gets underway this week in Parker. Activities at the Turner County Fair include a church service in Heritage Park at 11 a.m., a ranch rodeo in the grandstand at 1 p.m., a 4-H companion animal show at 3 p.m., and a free BBQ with ice cream in Heritage Park from 4-6 p.m. The fair runs through Thursday. Admission is free.
