    It looks like we are finally getting a break from the heat on the Seacoast this week and many will be venturing out from their air conditioned homes to enjoy some of the "cooler" weather. While out and about be sure to check out where to get the best ice cream on the Seacoast, according to our readers, or head over to Kennebunk and experience pizzas that look like clouds at Pinsa Kennebunk. Unfortunately, we learned that IHOP in Newington has closed after nearly 25 years. We also revisit some other Seacoast restaurant news.

    The IHOP restaurant at The Crossings shopping center has permanently closed , according to a representative of the famous pancake and breakfast chain.

    A new microbrewery offering “pies and pints” is opening in the space that once housed Charlie’s Ice Cream.  Owners Steve Nametz and Steve and Doug Helferich have taken over the space at 150 Front St. to open Fat Hen Brewing Company next door to Enna Chocolate.

    Harbor Burger Shack in Kittery brings back 1950s memories, serves up favorites with twist
