Three men wanted by Kenner police in connection with an armed burglary at a home are wanted after police say they fled Louisiana for Texas.

That robbery happened on the morning of Saturday, July 27 at a house at the corner of Toby Lane and Vintage Drive, just a few blocks from Power Boulevard. According to investigators, three armed masked men burst into the house while the owner was away and stole jewelry and a handgun from the owner’s bedroom. A relative of the homeowner was asleep in another bedroom and was not injured. Police say she was unaware of the break-in.

The Kenner Police Department’s Flock cameras helped police identify the vehicle the suspects used and helped them obtain a search warrant of the car’s owner’s home. That search the led them to identify Jesus Castillo-Ruiz and Kevin Alberto-Castro as two of the three suspects. Kenner Police Department officials say Castillo-Ruiz, 27, New Orleans, and Alberto-Castro, 17, Houston, left the state because of “the pressure brought on by the investigation.”

Earlier today, Kenner police identified the third suspect after executing a search warrant in New Orleans with the assistance of federal marshals and the New Orleans Police Department. Kenner police are withholding that suspect’s identity for now. However, authorities confirmed that the third suspect also left Louisiana and is now in Texas.

If you know the whereabouts of Castillo-Ruiz or Alberto-Castro, call the Kenner Police Department at 504-712-2222 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
