Kennesaw Parks & Recreation Donates 1,500 School Supplies to Students

Kennesaw Parks & Recreation donated over 1,500 pieces of school supplies at the Back 2 School Jam on July 13 to support local students preparing for the upcoming school year.

The supplies included book bags, pencils, pens and glue sticks. Kennesaw Parks & Recreation provided school supplies for 300 families in the community. In addition to providing essential school supplies, the event offered various health screenings to local students such as general health, postural and vision screenings. Parents had the chance to connect with local organizations that offer support throughout the school year and access to a variety of vendors providing services at no charge.

The Back 2 School Jam featured face painting, inflatables and jewelry making. It also presented an exclusive opportunity for early registration for the next season of Kennesaw Hoops Youth Basketball. Resident registration will open on Aug. 5 and non-resident registration will open on Aug. 12.
