MOWIT volunteers lend hand at Baker transitional house for women
St. Louis – Volunteers with Missouri Women in Trades (MOWIT) helped demo and rebuild a plumbing stack at one of the Baker House’s transitional homes for women on June 29 and 30. A group of female Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562 members led the project. The house, located in south St. Louis City, is owned by Keyway Center for Diversion and Reentry, which provides housing and wrap-around services for women reentering the St. Louis community from jail or prison. Man facing several charges, accused of stabbing his mom
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - A Paducah, Kentucky man is facing several charges after he allegedly stabbed his mother. According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was called to the 300 block of Oaks Road in Paducah for a physical disturbance at around 3:15 p.m. on July 15. When the deputy arrived, he saw a man threatening a woman with a large knife.
