Kennewick mayor proclaims July 11th as Kadlec Tri-cities Cancer Center Day on their 30th anniversary!

KENNEWICK, Wash. – On Thursday, July, 11th the Kadlec Tri-cities' Cancer Center celebrated its 30th anniversary! The cancer center opened in 1994 as a way to help people with everything from treatment to social work and support groups as they're battling cancer.
They celebrated with an open house at the center in Kennewick. To kick off the event the mayor of Kennewick proclaimed July 11th Kadlec Tri-cities Cancer Center day!
The open house consisted of self guided tours to see how the Tri-cities Cancer Center has evolved over these past 30 years. But that’s not all the celebration had in store for people there was some dessert and refreshments people were able to enjoy and some prizes up for grabs.
Apple Valley News Now spoke with Lori Lott the senior philanthropy officer for the Tri-cities Cancer Center and she said the festivity also served as a reminder to people about the local care that the cancer center provides.
"Were very excited for the opportunity to showcase our world class Cancer Care Center here and also be able to just remind our community that you don't have to leave town if you have the terrible diagnosis of cancer," Lott said.
