KENNEWICK, Wash – Three groups in the tri-cities are giving back and helping kids step out in style.
Over a dozen kids walked into Legacy Barbershop and were able to sit down and receive a fresh free hair-cut.
The branch director of the Kennewick Club house Pita Nunez said this isn't the first time they receive free haircuts from donations part of the Kennewick Police Department Foundation and the barbers times from Legacy Barbershop. They want to continue this opportunity for kids in the program because helping kids in need is what the Boys & Girls club is about, Nunez said.
“For our kids to like, feel good and look good. We thought that having the barbershop experience was like the perfect way to not only give back to them but to help them feel like their best,” Nunez said, “some of the kids just got off the chair and they just walked differently. They walk more confidently and to see that alone is just so uplifting.”
This isn't the last time free haircuts will come around for children in the Boys & Girls Clubs program there's two more opportunities this year, Nunez said.
