Detroit Catholic Central High School in Novi has opened its $61 million STEM Center, the George and Mary Turek Hall of Science. Nonprofit receives $1.5M to redevelop historic Flint building into housing, commercial space
FLINT, Mich. (WNEM) - A nonprofit real estate developer in Flint received $1.5 million to redevelop a historic building into housing and commercial space. Communities First, Inc., the nonprofit, will use the state funding to preserve Marian Hall, a century-old building located at 529 Martin Luther King Ave. in Flint. The project will restore the hall and construct a new five-story addition to the building, bringing 133 new units of mixed-income housing and ground-floor commercial space to downtown, Communities First said.
Marshalls relocating in Ann Arbor’s Arborland shopping center
ANN ARBOR, MI – Marshalls is moving a few buildings down within the Arborland shopping center. The off-price retailer is relocating to 3635 Washtenaw Ave. from 3675 Washtenaw Ave. and will have its grand opening from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22.
