MADISON, Wis. – Gov. Evers today recapped his visits with dairy farmers, processors, producers, and local community and agricultural industry leaders celebrating June Dairy Month and America’s Dairyland across the state over the month of June. During the visits, Gov. Evers highlighted the strength of the state’s dairy industry as well as efforts and investments by the governor and the Evers Administration to support Wisconsin’s farmers, their families, and the dairy industry over the past five years.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Six tornadoes were reported in Wisconsin in June. It was also a very, very rainy month. The “norm” for Green Bay, or the 30-year average, is 4.1 inches of precipitation. The National Weather Service recorded 5.82 inches -- almost 2 inches above normal for the city yet one of the lesser amounts recorded in our corner of Wisconsin.
Team Wisconsin Triumphs in Men’s Junior Freestyle Wrestling Nationals with Mirasolas’ Success
Team Wisconsin secured its first-ever Men’s Junior Freestyle National Dual Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a 33-32 victory over Ohio, led by graduates Connor and Cole Mirasola of West Bend West. Cole Mirasola, one of the five undefeated wrestlers for the team, finished with a 6-0 record and crucial pinfalls. The final victory was sealed by Kellen Wolbert of Oconomowoc with a pin in the 138-pound class. The team, including eight seniors moving on to Division I colleges, dominated the event, going 7-0 overall.
Audit: Wisconsin crime labs not meeting new DNA testing deadline

Racine firefighters rescue 12-year-old girl from smoke-filled home
RACINE, Wis. — The Racine Fire Department rescued a 12-year-old girl from the balcony of a burning house. Firefighters were dispatched to the area of Elm and Cherry streets in the city of Racine on Friday for a report of a duplex filling with smoke. They saw a 12-year-old girl trapped on the second-story balcony. The firefighters were able to use an extension ladder to reach the girl and get her safely to the ground.
