    Kensington police urge residents: shelter in place amid possible armed barricaded suspect

    KENSINGTON — Police have asked residents to shelter in place on Oliva Lane due to a possible barricaded person with a firearm.

    Kensington police made the announcement on its Facebook page at 3:49 p.m.

    "The Seacoast Emergency Response Team has been actively deployed," police stated in a release. "Please remain in your residence."

    At 8:40 p.m., police reported the shelter in place remains active.
