Delaware State Police arrested 38-year-old Joey Finney of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, for multiple felony offenses following a pursuit yesterday near Felton. On Tuesday, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Kent County Governor’s Task Force was patrolling South Dupont Highway near Felton when they spotted a black GMC Yukon driven by Finney. Detectives, recognizing him from previous investigations and aware of his active warrants, confirmed his identity through a computer check. They attempted to stop the vehicle in the Royal Farms parking lot at 11460 South Dupont Highway, but Finney fled, initiating a pursuit.

Police Chase in Kent County Ends With Arrest of Rehoboth Beach Man on Multiple Felony Offenses
A police chase near Felton led to the arrest of a 38-year-old Rehoboth Beach man who now faces multiple felony offenses. On Tuesday around 5:30 p.m., detectives attempted to pull over a vehicle in the parking lot of Royal Farms on South Dupont Highway, but the GMC Yukon sped away. During the pursuit, detectives saw the driver throw an object out of the Yukon while driving in a reckless manner on several Felton area streets and roads. The Yukon eventually came to a stop in the parking lot of Uncle Willie’s on Reeves Crossing Road after detectives successfully deployed stop sticks. Detectives found a cigarette pack that was thrown from the Yukon and discovered that it contained approximately 5.06 grams of powder cocaine and approximately .07 grams of heroin. Joey Finney was arrested and taken to Troop 3, where he was charged with several crimes. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $18,900 cash bond.
Man arrested for theft of two vehicles, robbery in Delaware
FRANKFORD, Del. – A Frankford man is behind bars on charges stemming from multiple investigations in Kent and Sussex Counties. On Friday, troopers were called to Hertrich Chevrolet of Dover for a reported stolen vehicle. It was learned that a man arrived at the dealership in a Mini Cooper and asked to test drive a vehicle. The man then reportedly got into a gray 2024 Chevrolet Silverado, locked himself inside, and disregarded the car salesman trying to stop him as he fled from the dealership without providing any identification. A computer check on the vehicle that the suspect arrived in led police to a Frankford address, and troopers learned that the stolen Silverado was tracking at a residence on Powell Farm Road in Frankford.
