CHESTERTOWN POLICEJuly 4 Pfc B. McGinnis made a traffic stop in the 800 block of High Street. Fataumata Binta Diallo, age 20, of Newark, DE was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, and driving on a revoked out-of-state license. Court date pending at the time of this report.

July 5 Ofc T. Burke responded to the 700 block of Washington Avenue for a report of an unwanted subject. Ofc Burke arrested Michele Paige Kelley, age 55, of Chestertown. Kelley was charged with: trespassing; disturbing the peace; and disorderly conduct. Kelley was held at the Kent County Detention Center. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

July 5 Pfc B. McGinnis took a report for a past burglary that occurred in the 100 block of Flatland Road. Investigation was active at the time of this report.

July 5 Pfc B. McGinnis responded to the area of Washington Avenue and issued a Must Appear Traffic Citation to Elder Daniel Morales-Morales, age 26, of Chestertown. Morales-Morales was charged with driving on highway without required license and authorization. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

July 6 Pfc B. McGinnis conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Washington Avenue. The driver of the vehicle, Robert Walter Poore, age 54, of Rock Hall was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, and driving vehicle while impaired by alcohol. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

July 8 Cpl C. Schwink took a report for a past theft that occurred in the 100 block of N. Cross Street. Investigation was active at the time of this report.

July 8 Pfc E. Nunez conducted a traffic stop on Haacke Drive. The driver of the vehicle, Abigail Lee Sutton, age 19, of Chestertown was charged with driving a motor vehicle on highway without required license and authorization. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

July 11 Ofc T. Burke took a report for a hit and run accident that occurred in the 400 block of S. Cross Street. A suspect and vehicle were identified. Charges were pending at the time of this report.

KENT COUNTY SHERIFFJuly 8 Dfc Parent responded to the report of a violation of a Kent County District Court Final Protective Order that occurred in the 23000 block of Baywood Court, Chestertown. This case was under investigation at the time of this report.

July 8 Dfc Parent served a Kent County District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear on Mirian Raquel Castillo, age 23, of Bear, DE. Castillo was released on her own recognizance by a District Court Commissioner.

July 10 Cpl Nolan served a Kent County District Court Arrest Warrant for assault second degree on Strom Thurmond Davis, age 32, of Worton. Davis was held at the Kent County Detention Center without bail by a District Court Commissioner.

July 10 Dfc Baker served a Kent County Circuit Court Body Attachment for failure to appear on William Tyrone Redding, age 44, of Cecilton. Redding was held at the Kent County Detention Center on $1503.62 bond.

July 11 Dfc Baker served a Kent County District Court Arrest Warrant for violation of a protective order on Jante Khalil Ward, age 24, of Worton. Redding was held at the Kent County Detention Center without bail by a District Court Commissioner.

July 11 Dfc Baker investigated a two vehicle crash with injury that occurred on Cherry Lane in the area of Route 291 at 3:36 PM. A 53-year-old male from Crumpton, the operator of a Chevrolet truck, side swiped a GMC SUV operated by a 70-year-old male from Millington. The Chevrolet left the roadway, struck a tree, and caused minor injuries. The operator of the Chevrolet truck also was found to be in possession of a non-serialized handgun, without a permit. The case was open, pending further investigation, at the time of this report.

July 12 Cpl Blazejak investigated the theft of two cell phones from an unlocked vehicle parked at 621 Morgnec Road (Atlantic Tractor). The theft occurred the afternoon of July 11. This case was under investigation at the time of this report.

July 12 Deputies were alerted to a possible stolen vehicle out of Dover, DE that was traveling within Kent County, Maryland. The vehicle was observed on Flatland Road and a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver fled in the vehicle, and a pursuit was initiated. The vehicle continued at a high rate of speed before it crashed in the area of Route 298 at Lynch Road. Three subjects left the vehicle, fled on foot, and were apprehended quickly. The subjects were all identified as juveniles from Chestertown. The juveniles were referred to the Department of Juvenile Services in reference to the incident.

July 13 Cpl Hudson investigated an assault second degree that occurred in the 400 block of Embert Drive, Millington at 11:25 AM. It was reported that a 21-year-old female and a 51-year-old female, both of Millington, were mutually assaulted during an altercation. Both subjects were referred to the District Court Commissioners’ Office for charges.

July 13 Dfc Freeman arrested Spencer Clifton Dole, age 33, of Chestertown. Dole was wanted on a Montgomery County Circuit Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear. Dole was transported to Montgomery County Detention Center for service of the warrant.

July 14 Cpl Hudson investigated a two vehicle motor vehicle collision that occurred in the intersection of W. Sharp Street and Liberty Street, Rock Hall. A 2016 Toyota truck, operated by Robert Walter Priest, age 70, of Rock Hall collided with a 2023 Ford truck, operated by Jeffrey Keith Dunston, age 63, of Rock Hall. The Ford truck was driven from the scene. The Toyota was inoperable. Under investigation at the time of this report.

July 15 Dfc Piasecki investigated a three vehicle motor vehicle collision that occurred on Cypress Street in Millington. A Ford van, operated by John Lester Holding, age 71, of Millington, struck a parked and unoccupied KIA SUV and then a Buick SUV occupied by Sherissa Leshea Jeffers, age 42, of Chestertown and two juveniles. Holding and the two juveniles were transported to the hospital by Emergency Medical Services for treatment. The Ford van and the Buick SUV were towed from the scene.

July 17 Cpl P. Hudson served a Kent County District Court bench warrant for failure to appear on Vincent Michael Drury, age 50 of Rock Hall. Drury was released by the District Court Commissioner on an unsecured bond.

July 17 D/S L. Manning served a Kent County Circuit Court bench warrant for failure to appear on Ebony Kennard, age 27 of Chestertown. Kennard was held at the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

July 17 DFC A. Freeman served a Kent County Circuit Court Arrest warrant for violation of probation on Strom Thurmond Davis Jr., age 32 of Worton, MD. Davis was held at the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

July 18 D/S L. Manning is investigating a theft that occurred in the 3800 block of Eastern Neck Rd., Rock Hall. The victim reported that copper was cut and removed from their air conditioning system causing damages estimated to be approximately $3500. Under investigation.

July 18 Cpl P. Hudson served a Kent County Circuit Court bench warrant for failure to appear and a Kent County District Court bench warrant for violation of probation on Nytre Nickael Green, age 23, of Chestertown. Green was held without bond at the Kent County Detention Center.

July 22 DFC D. Parent served a Queen Anne’s County District Court criminal summons for Passing a bad check $1500 to less than $25000 on Stacy Lee Shouman, age 49 of Millington. Shouman was released after signing the summons.
