Andover man arrested for stealing items from Lowe's
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) — An Andover man has been arrested in connection with a theft at a local Lowe’s store. On June 1, 2024, Greyson Meikle, 30, was taken into custody for stealing merchandise valued at $695.16 from the Lowe’s located at 31 Buckland Hills Drive in South Windsor.
Week 12 Brought the Heat in Deep River Horseshoe League
Heat and humidity took a toll on the Deep River Horseshoe League in Week 12, as eight teams needed substitutes but ended up with four teams needing to use a blind score for their missing player. Back on the road, Hartford Athletic falls 3-1 for their second match-up against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC. The Green and Blue had a difficult start in the first half with three yellow cards along with three goals from Pittsburgh. With a penalty shot for the first one, it was a difficult moment for goaltender Monroe who dove the opposite way for a tricky strike. West Hartford receives $697,000 to make sidewalks more accessible
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — The town of West Hartford announced in a release on Thursday that it will receive $697,000 from the state for sidewalk accessibility enhancements. The state’s Department of Transportation awarded the town the funding through the Community Connectivity Grant Program, which is an infrastructure improvement program that provides funding for local projects to improve safety and accessibility for pedestrians, bicyclists and transit users in communities across the state.
