Kentucky waterfall honored with Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award for 2024

CORBIN, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — Kentucky’s own “Niagara of the South” has received the Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award for 2024 .

Every year, Tripadvisor awards destinations based on reviews and ratings by real users over the last 12 months. Destinations, hotels, restaurants, and things to do are all able to receive the award depending on how well they are reviewed.

“The 2024 winners are a celebration of everything we did last year—all the places we discovered and all the times we just said “yes” to new adventures. We’ll reveal the winners by category throughout the year, so keep checking back for the latest,” reads the Tripadvisor website.

Cumberland Falls State Resort Park has 1,405 reviews, averaging out to 4.5. It is listed as the best thing to do in Corbin, with reviewers celebrating the park as a whole, the rare moonbow , and some calling it a “must-see” waterfall.

The park is more than just a waterfall; it hosts great hiking, connects to Daniel Boone National Park backpacking trails, and offers horseback riding, rafting, fishing, birding, and camping.
