Last night, Rohnert Park Police and Fire reported a routine traffic stop that decidedly became anything but ordinary. A Public Safety Officer pulled over a vehicle for a moving violation, quickly escalating when the driver showed signs of being under the influence. Sonoma Developer Ken Mattson Faces Defaults and Auctions of Several Properties
Sonoma Developer Ken Mattson is facing more defaults and possible auctions of his properties. The Press Democrat reports that KS Mattson Properties has received at least 13 default notices since June 28, representing up to 19 different addresses in and around the city of Sonoma. In addition, nearly a dozen of Mattson’s properties are scheduled to go up for public auction in August if mortgage payments aren’t brought up to date or an agreement reached with lenders. The properties involved are mostly residential homes but also include the Cottage Inn & Spa, an Inn to Remember, office buildings, apartments or condominiums, a warehouse and a small shopping center.

Emily F. Cutrer will serve as the interim president of Sonoma State University. Cutrer was president of Texas A&M University Texarkana for a decade before her retirement in 2022. She was also previously the provost and vice president of academic affairs at California State University San Marcos. Cutrer will officially begin as interim president on August 1st. She will replace former SSU president Mike Lee, who retired after being suspended in May.
