    Daughter charged with killing her 74-year-old mother on Fourth of July in Kernersville

    KERNERSVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) — A daughter has been accused of killing her mother on the Fourth of July and is now in custody, according to the Kernersville Police Department.

    At around 3:26 p.m. on Thursday, officers came to a home on the 7400 block of Buckview Court after getting a report of a domestic disturbance.

    At the scene, police found 74-year-old Linda Turner Terrell inside the home suffering from trauma to her head. She was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

    Terrell’s daughter, 51-year-old Michelle Denise DeGuzman, has been arrested and charged with the murder of her mother.

    DeGuzman was taken to the detention center and is currently being held without bond.
