On a steamy evening in Camden last Monday, visiting Fort Mill Post 43 scored a pair of runs in the top of the first and never looked back in handing Post 17 a 10-2 loss at American Legion Park.

Man charged with assaulting aunt who defended herself with knife
The 27-year-old man who suffered a number of stab wounds inflicted by his 84-year-old aunt on June 19 is now in jail, being held on charges of kidnapping and assault and battery. In a statement to the media and via a Facebook post, Kershaw County Sheriff Lee Boan identified the man as Kirim Gaskins, who lived with his aunt on the 2400 block of Baron DeKalb Road. The incident took place around 5:30 a.m. on June 19.
